Harrods - The Creation of a Legend

The jewel in the crown of the House of Fraser group was Harrods. A name that had once been synonymous with quality and luxury, the store had fallen into a time warp and it needed a vast overhaul.
Mohamed became the Executive Chairman of Harrods in 1989. He invested more than £400 million in creating a Harrods that matched his vision. Even now he doesn’t like to be away from the store for more than a few days at a time, and shoppers delight in seeing the Chairman on one of his daily strolls.
To this day it remains London’s third most popular tourist attraction, after the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, and it beats even Buckingham Palace.
