Harrods Aviation
Inspired by a lack of professional private aviation services, Harrods Aviation was founded with Mohamed Al Fayed at the controls.
Flawless, faultless and polished to perfection, Mohamed wanted Harrods Aviation to surpass all expectation. It did.
Since its inception into the industry in 1995, Harrods Aviation enjoyed enormous business growth, most impressively at its London Luton base, where its market share rocketed from 10% to 60%.
Celebrated services
Perhaps the most celebrated service of Mohamed's Harrods Aviation was its aircraft handling operations at London Luton, and London Stansted airports. Aircraft sales and maintenance were also provided in Harrods Aviation purpose-built hangars.
Under Mohamed's supervision, Harrods Aviation became the leading London-based FBO (fixed base operator) business aviation service provider.
Mohamed was Chairman of the Harrods Group until 2010, when he sold the business.
