Letter from Douglas, USA

Mr. Al Fayed,

I want to thank you and Fulham FC for the wonderful time I had while visiting London for a game in early March of this year. I am an American from Philadelphia who has grown to love Fulham. I have watched proudly as many of my favorite Americans have been signed by and helped your club gain promotion to the Premier League.

I have been a Clint Dempsey fan ever since he came in to the MLS here in America. I have a one-year-old son whom I have named Dempsey  in honor of America's greatest Premier League goal scorer. He all ready owns a Fulham kit and his first word was "goal". I was lucky enough to shake hands and get a picture with Clint Dempsey before the game against Wolverhampton back in March. Clint is a great ambassador for Fulham and is making everyone back in America very proud to be a part of our growing soccer community.

I enjoyed seeing the statue of Michael Jackson and getting a picture next to McBride's. Craven Cottage will always be my favorite stadium. I hope to return again someday when my son is old enough to appreciate the game.

Thank you for keeping Fulham competitive and for signing Americans. We have a lot to offer and our youth programs will certainly produce future Fulham legends.

Thank you for giving my family and I a club to root for every weekend.
